Hi I'm Tristin Bowers

I grew up on a sod farm. I played college basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the Florida Jacksonville Mission. I am a daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister and friend. I love to spend time with my family. My family means the world to me! I enjoy playing basketball and other out door activities such as hiking, running, kayaking, watching sun rises and sunsets and flying kites. Other interests that I have include baking, cooking, reading and learning new things. I love being around people, sharing my testimony, lending a helping hand, working hard, lifting others and smiling :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have found that pure happiness, or joy, is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have opportunities to work together and help each other face the difficulties that life has to offer. No one is perfect and everyone is trying to become better. The church allows one to recognize how we can be our best and provides a safe haven for all. There is always something to learn and work on, it is a constant progression. It may seem repetitive the doctrines and principles that we are taught but as we become older and the more that we study the deeper an understanding we get of the things we know. We can find the answers to our questions. I know that I am a daughter of God, that he loves me and there is a way that I can return and live with him again. I know that through the Atonement I can truly be happy.I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel on the earth as well as the priestood authority of God. I value the teachings of the Book of Mormon and the principles that are found in each page. I know that Thomas Monson is a prophet called of God to lead us today. My testimony means the world to me and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

How I live my faith

I live the standards and values that I have been taught growing up and learned through the Young Women program offered in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Including: faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice and accountability, good works, integrity and virtue. I LOVE to be involved in service opportunities and meet new people. I'm currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
