Hi I'm Josh Egbert

I live in Idaho. I love sports, rafting, and my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at BYU-Idaho. I am working toward my accounting degree. I graduated from high school in May 2013. I love to white-water raft and spend time with my family. I love watching my little siblings grow up. I also love to play sports, but mainly basketball. I served a mission in the Virginia Chesapeake Mission. I chose to serve a mission because I want to help other come closer to Christ and understand how they can be with their families for eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

My whole family is members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am very grateful that they raised me in this church. It blesses my life everyday. I know who I am and what I should be doing. On one occasion a leader in our church asked us to pray and ask God if we were actually a son or daughter of his. I did as I was asked. I prayed that night and asked if I was a son of God. The next day I received my answer. The answer was given as a strong feeling in my heart. It was an overwhelming feeling and I knew that my prayer had been answered. I also know that the Book of Mormon is true and we do have a prophet today who receives revelation from God to help us. I love this Church very much. We are so focused on our families and on serving others. This is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Faith is a powerful word. I did not fully understand it until I put it to the test by serving a mission. I served my mission in the Virginia Chesapeake Mission. I have seen people change their lives because of the faith they show in Jesus Christ. Through the Holy Ghost, I hope I am able to help others learn how their faith in Christ can increase and help them gain full access to blessings through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that through daily prayer and scripture study, we can gain the power we need each day to be an example of Jesus Christ. - I am beginning to understand a little more about the workings of the Lord. He puts us in different situations to refine us. He knows what we can be, the hard part for us is realizing our potential and living up to it. There are times in my life where I have had to truly humble myself and rely on the Lord. At these times, is when we become sanctified if we endure.
