Hi I'm Michael

I'm from North Carolina and now I live in Utah. I love sports. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I really enjoy playing sports! Tennis is my favorite to play but I also enjoy basketball, football, soccer, and volleyball. I am going to go to school to become either a social worker or a special education teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I didn't always want to be a member of this church. I lived without it for quite some time and I saw the direction that my life was going. I needed a change. I needed a firm foundation. I needed something to hold on to to help me become the best person that I could be. It took me about 8 years to build a testimony of this church. Living without it, I found myself getting into trouble and going down a path that is very hard to recover from. When I was in High School I decided I needed to change the people I associated with. Not because they were bad people, but because I needed to get away from the choices that I made when I was with them. A group of LDS children befriended me and I noticed that there was something different about them. They had solid family foundations. They made correct choices. They were happy and were always willing to reach out and help their peers. Throughout all of High School these young men and women gave me opportunities to join them in church activities, but I always declined. I didn't want to live the Gospel. "It wasn't for me." My family struggled. They aren't members of the church. I watched some of my older siblings make choices that were not the best and I didn't want to be caught in that trap. One day I decided I would try to give the church a go. I never had really devoted myself to living its teachings. I did just that. I decided to give it my all and see if I really would feel the spirit telling me that this was the right thing to do. It took me a long time. As I studied and prayed and did the things which I was asked to do I realized that it was all true. It took me a long time. I question things all the time. I found peace. I found love. I found happiness and guidance. My life has turned around and I thank the Lord and His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love it now. I want others to know of the joy it brings. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? It's quite simple. I do the things which the Lord wants me to do. I teach members of the church through a calling I received. I do what I can to bring others unto Christ. I constantly strive to be better each and everyday.
