Hi I'm Niko

I am a recent High School Graduate. I love longboarding and playing and composing music on the guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

During high school, I took 3 years of Construction/Cabinetry class. Now I work full time remodeling, or otherwise known as "flipping houses" and really enjoy what I do. During my free time I go longboarding at my favorite downhill spots. In addition, I make my own longboards and collect them. I also like to compose and play guitar. I play both electric and acoustic guitars and have two of each.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon Family. I had my parents teach me the principles and doctrines of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition, I had other family members teach me and teachers in Church. As I grew up and learned more and more, I realized that I knew I had to be baptized. It just felt right to me to follow Jesus' example and do as he had done, which was to be baptized and take upon the name of Christ and live his teachings. In South Dakota where I mostly grew up, I went through elementary and middle school, where I was an example to my friends. I was the only Mormon in my school of 1,000 kids. I learned what it meant to be an example and to take upon myself the name of Christ. It was difficult at times, but I chose good friends who had similar ideas and values of life. Later as I moved to Arizona and started goint to high school, I started to see how other people lived their life without the gospel. I could see that they were making choices that were contrary to what I believe. Those choices made them stressed and unhappy. I felt like they could change that and be happier individuals by living the Gospel Principles and Doctrines I had learned and applied all my life. Then I realized that there were many other people in the world who didn't have the same knowledge that I had. So now as I have graduated high school, I have made the decision to serve a 2-year Mission for the Mormon Church. I chose to do this to bring to other people the same knowledge I had learned as child and young adult, which has brought me so much happiness and peace in my life.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is the same way I live my life. I am the same person everyday of the week. The Gospel is pretty much the part of who I am and the choices I make everyday. I am always availible and willing to help other people as I see this as the basis of being a Christian.
