Hi I'm Ashley

I love music, I love reading, and I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I love any type of music, I could listen to it all day. My favorite thing to do is to play the piano and sing along. I love to see musicals and learn the music so I can sing along. Being close with music allows me to feel the spirit of my Father in Heaven whenever I need. It can bring anyone closer, music is universal I often listen to music in a different language and even though i may not understand the words you can always feel a connection to those who wrote it and to God.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been taught the truth of this gospel not just by others but by my own experience. I have prayed to know which church is right, whether or not this is the truth. My answer has been and always will be yes. I am so blessed to be a part of this wonderful church, without the Lord in my life I would be alone and lost. If you feel alone with no where to go, turn to your Father in Heaven and he will answer you. Pray for the knowledge that you seek, so that you can know for yourself, as i do, that Christ lives. I know he is real, he loves us and I love him. He atoned for our sins and was willingly nailed to the cross because he loves us. This church is lead by a true prophet on earth Thomas S. Monson, he is the Lords representative, as he helps guide us through these perilous times. This gospel is everything to me, I cannot deny the spirit I have felt as God has healed me, comforted me and loved me through all of my mistakes and shortcomings. He will never forsake thee. I testify that we are daughters and sons of God, Christ lived and died so every soul can find happiness. I know it, I live it, I love it, and I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I had the great pleasure of being in charge of the young women's' volleyball and basketball teams. At first I thought I could never teach these young girls how to hit a ball. I prayed fervently and was able to teach them using the spirit of the Lord. We didn't win very many games but I know these girls blessed my life. I will never forget when one of my youngest girls, (12 years old) who hadn't been able to serve the ball over the net all season finally made it over in our very last game! We celebrated as the other team missed and she scored her very first point!. Both teams rejoiced at seeing this little girl's face just light up and she jumped with joy. We ended up losing the game but in the end that really didn't matter. I have since moved away to continue my education, but I will always remember the joy and the spirit we had as we learned taught one another.
