Hi I'm Mike

I grew up in Utah and have lived here my whole life. I love driving my car. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young adult and am planning on going to college soon. My hobbies are working on my car and hopefully being able to upgrade it and still pay for college. I love being outdoors. Biking, swimming, wake boarding, four wheeling, snowmobiling, skiing, and music. Right now my plan in college is to go into the medical field. I found out my senior year that I love studying in those areas and the chemistry behind it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the counsel given to us from the modern day prophets and the Book of Mormon act as a guide of how to live my life. I know that I would be lost as to what I am supposed to do in this life and what comes after if I did not continue to study the scriptures and give heed to the prophets' and apostles' counsel. The church gives the members hope. Without the Atonement those mistakes we make could not be erased but because of the Atonement I know that when we make a mistake we can repent and God will remember it no more. There is a Father in Heaven who loves us and holds us very dear. He knows we will make mistakes he knows we will fall and so he provided us with a way to correct those mistakes. Through the Atonement we can be cleansed of our sins and start anew. I know this because I have used the Atonement in my life and I know it works. What a blessing it is to have it. I know that President Thomas S. Monson has been called of God to lead and guide this church. I know that his counselors and the Apostles have all been called by God as well to give us counsel as well. I know that our Father in Heaven loves us and that is why he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to provide a way back to our Father in Heaven. I know that if we live the gospel and do our best to follow it's teachings we can receive the blessings promised to us after this life found in the scriptures.

How I live my faith

I currently am in the Young Men's organization. I am in the group known as the Priests which includes young men ages 16-18. I don't hold a calling in the presidency that watches over the priests quorum but I was just released as the 1st counselor.
