Hi I'm Jerry

I grew up in southern California. I run a grocery store. I am a convert to the church. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have 7 children. We enjoy spending time with them and their children even though not all of them live close. Through different business opportunities as a family we have worked together at one time or another. I love working in the yard and helping our children work in theirs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. When I was dating my wife, she invited me to attend church with her. Having some understanding of Jesus and God as a young boy, but not being involved in religion for many years, I was interested in what it would be like to go to church again. I was also very interested in having my two sons that were living with me have Christianity in their lives. My attendance did not instantly bring a life changing experience. What was instant, is the welcome my sons and I received. I was very impressed to see that all members of the family participated in partaking of the sacrament which was different in my boyhood church. Now, 37 years later, the gospel of Jesus Christ and church principles bring me guidance, comfort, a knowledge of who I am and where I am going.

How I live my faith

My wife and I serve the young single adults at BYU in Provo Utah. As leaders, we instruct them in principles they can use as they mature and become husbands and wife and parents. We have seen many of them experience these blessings in their lives. We also learn much from them.
