Hi I'm Aiden

I play sports. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Alberta but I grew up on the coast. I wouldn't say that I live on the water, but I spend a lot of time on it. Whether it's wakeboarding, crabbing, or just plane boating, I love being able to be out on the water. I spend my free time playing sports, particularily soccer, basketball, and volleyball, but I enjoy anything that keeps me moving. I'm a big enthusiast when it comes to music. I play guitar, trumpet, drums, and I sing a little. I'm taking engineering at the University of Alberta and come September 16th, I will be serving a mission in the Mexico, Tijuana mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon, but it wasn't until midway through highschool that I chose to be a Mormon. It took much prayer, scripture study, and diligence in striving to stay faithful to my religion that I came to develop my own testimony that this gospel is true. I have doubts from time to time, but when I hold on to that faith and keep on persisting, those doubts always disappear time and time again. Some people say that living the way I live is restricting, but I have found the exact opposite. I am more in control of my life and my body than I would be if I hadn't made the choices I made. Because I have strived to live the way God wants us to live, he has blessed me and the people around me countless times, so much so that it makes me think why would I not be a Mormon?

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday through my actions. I try to be kind, uplifting, and be a positive force in the world. In my church I am a ward missionary. I get the privilege of being involved with the missionary work that takes place in and around my local area. I try to serve as much as I can throughout the week in addition to daily scripture study and prayer. I enjoy Sundays where I get to partake of the sacrament and learn from great teachers. During the week one of my favourite things to do is to go to my Institute classes (scripture study classes) where I get to learn awesome lessons from teachers about gospel principles found in the scriptures.
