Hi I'm Page Montgomery

I was born and raised in Olympia, Washington. I love cats. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I recently married the love of my life (Summer 2013) and we live together with our cat, Chuck. I currently work as a server at Buffalo Wild Wings Olympia, my favorite sauce there is definitely Honey BBQ. I have a deep love for scrap-booking, making paper crafts and decorating our home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and was baptized at the age of 8. I did, in fact, know that I had made a good decision. When I was a little older I had the opportunity to attend a camp for our youth. Girl's Camp. Here I was able to feel of my Savior's love for me and it was here that I started to gain my testimony. Before, I was leaning on the testimony of my parents and beloved teachers, at Girl's Camp I began to feel for myself that Gospel is true. As I've grown up into the woman I am now, I've also grown spiritually into and can bear you my witness and testimony with confidence and assurance. I know that there is a God. I know that he loves me. I know that his Son, Jesus Christ, did atone for the sins of the world so that we may return to Him and be perfected in Him. I know the Book of Mormon is true and was translated by Joseph Smith, Jun. by authority from God. I know that my baptism was performed by the power of God, known today commonly as the Priesthood. I know that Joseph Smith, Jun. was a prophet called of God to restore God's true church on the Earth and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints is that church. I know that the Holy Ghost can be with me to comfort me and to guide me in my daily life if I but just keep the commandments. I also know that the Prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson is called of God to be his spokesperson on the Earth. I know he is the Prophet of the world and not just of our church. I am not perfect, but I know that my transgressions and sins can be forgiven if I take the opportunity to repent and I can use the atonement to become clean day after day. I believe I can live with my Father in Heaven again along with my family by my side. I love this organization and everything it stands for. It stands for truth and righteousness. Honesty and integrity. Forgiveness and happiness. Health and prosperity. Love and obedience. I know my Father lives and loves me. And that everything good in my life is a blessing from God.

How I live my faith

I recently moved into my ward and have not yet received a calling, though it's a pretty small ward so I'm positive they are working on that. Before I have been called as a teacher, I led music, acted as a secretary and helped out in the nursery with the little children. I attend church every Sunday and make it a priority to have Sunday be my "day of rest." I try my best to be an example to my coworkers in language and in deed. I refrain from using curse or swear words as I believe they degrade the soul and make me appear less than what I know I am. I am a woman and daughter of God and must act that way.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Page Montgomery
There is not "one" author of the Book of Mormon. It is a compilation or collection of writings from Prophets of the Lord and other record keepers. It is named after the last of the ancient prophets, Mormon. It is, like the Bible, a testament of Jesus Christ. It contains the teachings of Christ, of His Atonement and of his love for all of us. It is a record that after His Resurrection, Christ appeared to the ancient inhabitants in America (how they got there is explained in the beginning), taught them His gospel and formed His church among them. There is a promise held within the Book of Mormon. If you will read it and sincerely pray to know, the Spirit of God will confirm upon you the truthfulness of the Book and I has done for me.
