Hi I'm Hayley

I was raised in Sandy, Utah by a family strong in the gospel, who have taught me how to find true joy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student at the happiest place on Earth. I look around daily and count my blessings for the wonderful life that I am so blessed to have and the numerous opportunities I have been so blessed to have in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Dieter F. Uchtdorf's talk in the October 2013 Saturday Morning Conference Session inspired me to dwell on why, when I put so much of my limited time and effort into Church attendance, activities, and callings, I have chosen to remain a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This is the answer I came to: Because it is true! It's as simple as that. I can't imagine my life any other way. This Church gives so many opportunities to help others, as well as ourselves, grow. The teachings of the true gospel of Jesus Christ are the only path to true, resounding joy and happiness. I know all this is true beyond a shadow of a doubt. That is why I fullheartedly and gladly offer my time to the Church. Because I know, no matter how much time and effort I put in, it will never be enough to thank my Father in Heaven for all that He has done. I know for every effort I put in, the blessings will flow in tenfold. I have seen this in my life. Every day. So no, I would not live any other way. It's as simple as that! The Church is true. I know my Savior lives. This church is the only way to happiness. That is why I embrace it with every fiber of my being!

How I live my faith

My calling is that of pianist for the women's meeting in my ward: my dream calling! This means I play prelude, postlude, and hymns throughout a meeting called "Relief Society" where women meet together each week and learn how they can improve themselves. Music is a way I believe we can come closer to our Savior. Sacred hymns of praise allow us to feel the Spirit and recognize its power in our life. That is why I love music and am so grateful for the blessing that my calling is in my life!
