Hi I'm Roz

I live in beautiful merry ole England!! Mum to eight wonderful children and five fabulous grandchildren!

About Me

I work as a Doula HomeStart volunteer and breastfeeding and babywearing supporter Serve on my local maternity services user group Love doing family history and indexing Studying with the Open University I love messy play with children and grown-ups!!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was a baby, so I've grown up in the gospel. I've always felt a deep connection with the knowledge that our Heavenly Father is real. I've enjoyed many experiences that have brought me a sweet assurance that even amongst all of Heavenly Father's many children he is aware of me as an individual. The organisation and leadership in the church is amazing. The whole vehicle of the church is constructed to help support individuals and families in a way that will bring them true happiness. The principles it is based on: love of family and others, compassionate service, industry, positivity, integrity and virtue etc. are truly Christ-centred principles. Understanding the purpose of my life continues to help me focus and refocus my goals and the need for personal improvement. Learning about the atonement of the Saviour and what that means for me personally makes ALL the difference! Although I fall far short of where I would like to be, the good news is that He forgives and is eager to help us succeed! I invite you to come and see!

How I live my faith

In my private and voluntary work supporting women in the community with their births and parenting, I clearly see Heavenly Father's principles for happiness in action. Parenting is hardly ever straight forward, (however many books you read), and certainly rarely plain sailing, so I'm grateful to now be able to support others as others have supported me in fulfilling this precious responsibility. I serve in my congregation with the 12-18 year old girls. This is a Church that loves it's youth! My responsibilities include mentoring, teaching them, facilitating discussions and helping them plan positive and fun activities once a week.
