Hi I'm Kari

I'm a graphic designer married to a Belgian. I have two crazy little boys, a slightly unintelligent dog, & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I draw pictures for a living. I teach my four year old how to read every day. I dream of running marathons and making digital fabric patterns in all the spare time I'll have one day — but for now, I'm a full-time mom + business owner + supporter of my husband (who is a full-time Law School student). It's a rich life!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because I cannot be anything else. I love this Faith for it's power to change and the influence of God's love in my life. I was born into a Mormon family — which is quite a privlidge, for me. Even though I grew up with it, there were many points in my life where I had to choose. I still choose everyday to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and try to participate in meetings while juggling or rocking to sleep my one-year-old. I try to be outgoing at church, be a friend. I have a calling (volunteer position). I'm in charge of two activities a month — helping 8-11 year old girls reach goals that will develop their character, life skills, and spiritual life. I've only been doing it for a little while, but I love it. I try to give away a Book of Mormon every week. I Read 4-5 pages of Scripture, daily. I attempt to read stories to my three year old from the Book of Mormon each night. I struggle to be kind and patient, but I try. Everyday. I guess you could say I live my faith by loving others the way the Savior loves me.
