Hi I'm Dan

I'm a Husband, Father, a regular blue collar type of guy. I love Jesus Christ, and I know he loves me!

About Me

I was born in a small central California town. I was blessed with both sets of Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, cousins always around me. I had a great Childhood. Spending time on Ranch's, Farms, in the mountains, where my favorite things to do. I learned to enjoy work and see it's rewards. Besides getting to help on my relatives ranch's and farms, I had a paper route, worked at a veterinarian hospital, and delivered drugs for a drug store. After High School I went to College part time while earning money for my mission by Roofing and being a maintenance man. Every young person who serves a mission with all there heart, feels that theirs was the best. I served in the Wellington New Zealand mission, an experience that blessed and defines my life. I could talk for hours about it! After returning from my mission I went to school and within 6 months married my wonderful wife of 35 years. As defining as my mission was,she is better! We have 3 kids ( G32- G30 - B27) What a great experience to have a family! Currently we have no Grandchildren, but am hopeful! I work as a Site Superintendent for a general engineering company, my wife says I still like to play in the dirt...and she is right! I love my neighbors, and they love me. They know I would help them with anything I could...that is probably my favorite hobby..my neighbors. Besides that I like snorkeling, swimming, small stream fishing, being at the beach or in the mountains. I enjoy serving in different ways in the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home with wonderful parents. My mother every night would sit on my bed while I said my prayers. My parents taught me of Christ by word and example. I remember one time, I was about 4 years old my mother and I where walking in the mountains, when she said " Danny, Jesus made all this for you" At that moment I had a witness of Christ. Since, I have had countless more. I know Jesus is our Savior. From the time I was born I went to church almost every week with my family. I have such fond memories of Sunday school. Shortly before I turned 8 my family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I remember so well laying on the bathroom floor, at my mothers feet ,crying saying " I don't want to go to that new church!" The lord was kind to me, my first Sunday School Teacher was an elderly sister name Sister Clairy. She taught about the beatitudes, and I could tell that she loved me. I soon Learned that I felt the (as I called it) the spirit of Christ even more at my new Church. Growing up, I had so many spiritual experiences. I have always known that Jesus is my Savior. At the age of 15, I wanted to know for myself if Joesph Smith was really a prophet and if he really did restore the lords church to the earth. I prayed for months about it, not really getting an answer, until one night the Holy Ghost touched my heart in a way that I still remember and can not adequately express . I am now 56. And have had so many confirmations that Joseph Smith Is a prophet. The Book of Mormon is the Word of God. There is a prophet living now... for us. The teachings that the Holy Ghost witnessed to me when I was a small boy are even more ingrained into my soul. Yes, I love Jesus Christ, That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I Love my neighbors. My Neighbors know they can count on me for help with handyman stuff! We watch out for each other. My Mother taught me to always be helpful, because that is what Christ did. I read the scriptures and pray regularly. I go to church. I try to do my duty as best I can,to bless my fellow man, at home, work, church, and in the community. Over the years I have worked allot with the youth in our community through Scouting, Schools and Church. It strengthens me to be with young people who are concerned about following the right path, honoring God and blessing others. I guess really how I live my faith is within myself. I know more than anyone, what my faults and sins are. I know the things that are hard for me. I know that it is me that at times keeps the Savior away, but if I humble myself and try to do his will, he comes, and I feel his loving care towards me. I live my faith by remembering my Savior and showing it by my actions and my thoughts... weather someone is watching or not.. I have found at the times I leave the door of my heart open towards him, my life is warmed and blessed by his presence, my faith grows and I am healed.
