Hi I'm Joe

I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I love music and writing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an active supporter of the big three: God, family, and friends. Music is also an integral part of my life. I am an undergraduate student pursuing a communications degree in advertising. I love to sing and play the guitar and to share my music with others. I love sports, particularly baseball. Writing (music, literature, thoughts) brings me peace. Unhealthy obsessions? Star Wars and trivia. Originally I am from the city but I love the outdoors. I believe nature, music, and sports in themselves possess a positive spiritual aspect.

Why I am a Mormon

My faith centers on Jesus Christ. I am a Christian who believes in Heavenly Father, a Great Sacrifice for all mankind by Jesus Christ allowing for the salvation of ALL mankind, and the guiding influence of the Holy Ghost. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; I was raised in it, but I stick with it because here I make covenants, or formal promises, with God my Heavenly Father. I love the infinite possibility for growth and learning in the Church. My faith supersedes logic, and yet the Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ has come to make perfect sense to me as I have studied, meditated, and prayed. And as I have done so I believe more and more that I am in the right place.

How I live my faith

As of the day I write this, I have the opportunity to teach a class every so often in our Sunday services called Gospel Essentials. The great thing about the Church is that over time one can have various different assignments, be they in teaching or serving in some other way. In a month, or two months, or a year from now I may have a different responsibility and opportunity to serve, which I always welcome. Every Sunday I participate in taking the Sacrament as instituted by Christ and explained in the Bible. I strive to read from the Scriptures on a daily basis: the Scriptures consisting, in our faith, of the Bible as well as The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. On top of all this, I strive to be a good person. I work to always assume the best of people and to understand them. Service is something that always makes me feel great.
