Hi I'm Erika

I am a Mormon, live in the United States, and I am preparing to serve a full time mission.

About Me

I love to read, write, spend time with family and friends, travel, play violin and cello, and be outside. I am a college student with a love for other cultures and people. I look forward to continuing to grow and helping others grow as well as I prepare to serve a full time mission in the New York New York North mission. I am excited to be able to have the opportunity to devote a year and a half to sharing the gospel, happiness, and peace to those who are searching for it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was reared as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and continue to this day to be one. I have continued to be a member because of what I have come to learn for myself. I know that the Lord, my Savior loves me and is aware of my every need. He has suffered just for me and continually stands by waiting for me to walk into his merciful arms. He has helped me through countless nights that were too long and seemingly too dark. His hand has been in every aspect of my life. I know without a doubt that Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ on the Earth. I know that The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ and has been an important guide for me in my own life. I can see the difference of how happy I am when I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and when I am not. I am so much happier and am able to handle situations that come my way that may be debilitating otherwise. I still have many challenges that I am working through and I still have bad days, but my knowledge gives me a shred of hope when it feels as if there is none left.

How I live my faith

I have held a few callings in the church and have loved helping the girls I was called to help out while in Young Women's and through Visiting Teaching. But what I have found to be the best way to live my faith is through the little things. Everyday I try my best to love others and to lift and serve those around me. As I have done this I have been able to bring a little but of peace and happiness to others, exactly what my faith has provided me with.
