Hi I'm Andrew

I am a sports fan from Idaho. I love my family and the Denver Broncos. I am a married college student, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am Andrew Smith. I am the third of four children. I grew up in Idaho as a huge sports fan, and sports are a big part of my life. I am recently married and I am so grateful for my wife and for the family God has blessed me with. Family is so important! Currently, I am a student of Biology at Utah State University. After my first year of college, I went on a two year mission to Santiago Chile. I served in the Santiago East mission and honestly I consider myself Chilean! I love Chile! You can ask my wife--I talk about Chile everyday! I also love my family and feel so grateful for all of the blessings that I have received.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love it! I love the gospel and I always have just loved it. However, it hasn't always just been so easy. I remember wanting to know for myself. I felt it was true, but I wanted to be able to say that I believed or knew it was true. So, I began to read the Book of Mormon. I love reading the Book of Mormon because every time I do, I feel good. The gospel makes me happy! On my mission I never was happier, and when I am living the gospel I feel a happiness in my life that is unmatched anywhere else. Since that time in my life, I have had countless confirmations that these things are true. I know Jesus Christ lives. He is the Son of God. I have felt over and over again through the Spirit that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. By him, Christ has restored His power on the Earth that allows us to have eternal families. I truly believe this is God's church. It isn't perfect because we as humans aren't perfect. But, I know that God speaks through living prophets and that if we heed their counsel and live the gospel, we will be happy.

How I live my faith

I feel like what we love we will always find time for. I try to always find time for God, my wife, and the things that matter most to me. I know sometimes it can be hard to find time for God in our busy lives with homework or work or whatever it may be. However, I feel that if we really love God there will always be time for Him even if its just a small, simple, sincere prayer or a quick scripture study. With my time, I try to show and live my faith.
