Hi I'm Jared Ransom

I was born and raised in California, I like art and computers, I volunteer in public schools and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jared. I was born in California, I am 19 years old, I like Graphic design, and I love computers. I have also really liked teaching. First, I am not a teacher, nor have I ever really done any REAL teaching. However, I have volunteered in the my mom´s class and I enjoyed helping the kids learn and advance. I havent decided on a specific subject, however, when I return from my mission in Mendoza Argentina, We will see. What I really love about the aspect of teaching is when I am able to teach something and the students are like, "hey, I get what it know..." and they understand. I think that is one of the best feelings. A Little more about me: I live in a family of five. There is my Dad, Mom, and two Brothers; Brandon and Nathan. I love spending time and doing things with my family. I have to admit that being on the mission, I miss a few things when I had a Little more freedom, but I really do love the mission and wouldn´t change a thing. And......That is the awesomeness that is JARED! Enjoy it while it lasts. XD

Why I am a Mormon

That is a hard question to answer in words. I guess you have to analyse first, what a "Mormon" is. First, Mormon is a name given to us because we use "The Book of Mormon". The real name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. What we should tell everyone is that we´re LDS. Just easier to say Mormon I guess. To explain why I am a Mormon, I want to say that I was born in to it. I was baptised at 8 years of age as many others. That is not to say that I am Mormon just because my parents told me that I was. I am a Mormon because I choose to live The Gospel and to follow the principles and teachings in accordance with said Gospel. More than that, I am a Mormon because, I WANT TO BE! I have a sincere testimony that this Church is true and that as long as I myself, or anyone follows the teachings of Jesus Christ to the same conclusion as I have, they will find eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday, now in the mission, and before in normal everyday life, by serving others as much as I can. I am one of those guys that will do just about anything you ask, in a helping sence, and I never turn down service. As I said, I said I am also serving the mission and that takes a lot of faith as well.

What is faith?

Jared Ransom
Faith is, as the scriptures say, to "hope for things which are not seen, which are true". Your faith is also a sign of your willingness to do whatever the lord asks, whenever he asks you to do it. Faith is a trust, it is a trust that, no matter what, God will be there to lighten the load. We don´t see God, and in this life we may never get the chance to, but we can believe that he is there. Example: Let´s say that two young men with name tags walk up to your door and tell you that they have a message that can improve your life abundantly through following, and coming to know better, the teachings of Jesus Christ. If you let them in, you are showing that you have faith that they are sharing something worth hearing. We show faith evryday by doing hard things without knowing the outcome. However, we do know that in the end, we are going to reap the blessings of that action. Show more Show less
