Hi I'm Jeanne

I'm from God's Country (Montana) & am serving as a full-time missionary in God's Own Country (New Zealand). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving a mission in New Zealand for 18 months. I attended Brigham Young University-Idaho prior to my mission and was majoring in Business Management. I love playing sports (especially basketball and volleyball), fishing, four-wheeling, and doing things outside. I also enjoy photography, designing, singing, dancing, and watching movies. My best friends are my family. We do everything together and are very close. As a missionary I love serving others and sharing the gospel. I'm really just your average young adult trying to make her way in life. I'm on a journey (as we all are) to not only find greater happiness, but to also share my joy (the gospel of Jesus Christ) with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church so this is really all I've ever known. When I was younger I would only go to church and do what I was supposed to because I didn't want to get in trouble. But as I got older, I wanted to know for myself if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the only true church on the earth and if the Book of Mormon was another testament of Jesus Christ. I didn't want to be wasting my time with things that weren't true so I prayed and asked God. My prayers were answered and I knew that the things I prayed about were true and that Jesus Christ's church has been restored on the earth. I have developed a testimony of this gospel and have come to adore the Mormon church. Honestly I don't know where I would be without the gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm Mormon because I am constantly progressing, the church gives me so much hope and happiness, and I frankly just know it's true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to myself and to those around me. I am always striving to be the best I can be and to do what our Heavenly Father wants me to do. I work hard at my callings in church, like working with children and helping with events. Even little things like smiling at people on the street or helping cut firewood for the elderly are ways that I personally live my faith.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

No one person wrote the Book of Mormon. It is compromised with several accounts from different prophets who lived in ancient America. A prophet named Mormon put (abridged) the Book of Mormon together. And the prophet Joseph Smith translated it into the English language. Show more Show less
