Hi I'm Saundra Ward

I'm a musician, a missionary, a daughter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old, and I was born and raised in beautiful Vancouver, with loving family, and two great parents who were both converts to the church. I love anything where I can be creative and try new things :) I love music, and I started to play the piano when I was five. Since then, and I have learned how to play the flute, alto saxophone, clarinet, and guitar. I love singing as well, and I love to share my faith and my beliefs with others through music. My Family has been able to be such a great support and example for me. I am the 1st daughter in my family to serve as a full time missionary, and am currently serving in the Canada Halifax Mission in the Sackville, NS area

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but as I became older, I eventually had to make a decision for myself to take the initiative to find out if the things that I had learned and taught all of my life were true.Being from Vancouver, there aren't a whole lot of members, but if anything, that helped me to learn how to rely on my own faith and be able to have a stronger and a firmer faith in Jesus Christ and this Gospel. As I have read the Book of Mormon, I can say that I know it is the word of God. It in no way replaces the Bible and that the instruction that we receive through the scriptures in priceless. I know that there is nothing that God would ask us to do that would not be for our benefit. When it comes down to why I live the way I do, and why I decided to become a missionary and share this message with people, is because it makes me happy. I have been able to see the results of living according to the lord's commandments, and the blessings that it brings. I know that because of my savior, I can be forgiven of all that I do wrong, and that because of his atonement, he knows exactly what I'm going through, and how I feel. I know that he loves me, and that my Father in Heaven loves me too. I know that it is possible to find a happiness unlike anything else from following our savior, and that through him we can find eternal peace.

How I live my faith

As a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I am out every day teaching people about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I always want to live in a way that is in accordance with the teachings of Christ, and doing my best to be more Christlike in my dealings with the people I meet. I love my savior and I can never fully repay him for what he has done for me. But I know that because of him and his atonement I can return to live with my heavenly father and live with my family for eternity. Even before I became a missionary, I would do whatever I could to share the gospel with my friends and family. I know that this gospel is of great value and has the ability to change the lives of everyone who will accept it.
