Hi I'm Jordan Jones

I'm 6'9". I love basketball. I love people. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life and want to enjoy every second of it. I've always enjoyed games and sports and anything else that looks like fun. Hiking, boating, exploring, you name it. I've found that there is nothing better than doing the things you love with the people you love. My family, my friends, and my Savior mean everything to me. They are what make life so great! I love basketball and being tall definitely helps. I plan on playing college basketball when I return from a mission. First thing's first though, I'm headed to Macon, Georgia to spread the joy I've found through the gospel with whoever is willing to hear it. And I can't wait!

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church. As I've grown, I've had questions, and I've sought out answers. The more I study and learn, the more this gospel simply makes sense. But it goes deeper than that. I have felt the power of the Holy Ghost in my life. That's what brings the kind of peace and joy into life that nothing else in this universe can. I'm a Mormon because this church is true. It makes perfect sense, and I've felt the spirit repeatedly throughout my life. I will not deny the power of that spirit. This is true. Jesus Christ is the Savior. I can't tell you how great feels to be able to know it. He is what makes my life so great!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply striving to be the best I can be. This life is all about growing and becoming all that you can be. As I grow, the best way I can live my faith is by reaching out and helping those around me. I try to keep close to the Lord through prayer and scripture study, and I do all I can to help with and participate in church activities and callings. At the end of the day, it's all about loving the Lord as well as his children.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Jordan Jones
Mormons go on missions because we have found something that has brought us more joy than anything else in this world. We want to share that same joy with anyone and everyone who wants to experience it as well. That's why I'm going on a mission. I leave for Georgia in November. I'm going because I've personally felt the love of my Savior and the joy and peace that that love brings. It's the same concept as bringing your friend to a place like Disneyland but on a much larger scale. You know of the happiness that can be found at Disneyland and you want to share it with the people you care about. We want to share the joy that we have found in our Savior Jesus Christ. We want everyone to have a chance to taste of this joy. We aren't trying push our beliefs on anyone, or insult or offend anybody. We've simply felt and experienced something that has blessed our lives and we want to share it. . . I want to share it. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Jordan Jones
We are here to grow. Our Heavenly Father's whole plan is for us to become all that we can become and reach our full potential. The ups and downs of life are all essential to our progression. Obviously, we all make mistakes, but as we learn from those mistakes and grow in our faith, we are able to turn to our Savior, Jesus Christ, and become perfected in Him. As we do this, pure joy and lasting peace enters into our lives that can't come any other way. Show more Show less
