Hi I'm Nicholas

I play Ultimate Frisbee. I love to teach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love life! Everyday is a new adventure and I make the best of it. I love to hike, run, play Ultimate Frisbee, read, play the trumpet and study the gospel. Right now I am studying Music Education in College, with hopes to one day be a band teacher. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since my baptism when I was eight years old.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the church I was taught all about its origin, its teachings, our Savior Jesus Christ, our purpose here on earth, and our goal of one day returning to live with our Father in Heaven. When I was young I always accepted these things and didn't think much of it. I just figured it was all true, just as my parents said it was. When I was around twelve years old I began to read the Book of Mormon everyday as I had been taught I should. When I was sixteen I remember praying to know if the church was true, desiring a great spiritual manifestation that this was all true. The words came into my mind, "Well, what do you think?" I prayed saying, "I know it is true, but I just want an answer." The same words came into my mind again, then I realized that was my answer. I already knew it was true, and I knew this because of years of prayer, attending church and reading my scriptures. I had seen the promises of the Lord be fulfilled in my life. I then continued on, knowing that the church was true. Things changed in my life when I went to college. This is when the Gospel wasn't only true, but it became real to me. I began to read my scriptures, pray and go to church because I wanted too. My parents were no longer around to make sure I did these things. I found that every promise in the gospel is fulfilled. My knowledge that these things were true grew because I lived them for myself. Why am I a Mormon? Because I read the scriptures, prayed and found for myself that these things are true and real.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being active in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I listen to my leaders and do as they ask. I listen to the words of the prophet and follow their counsel. I read the words of Christ as found in the scriptures every day and strive to pattern my life after the life of Christ. I serve in the church and outside of the church. I pray every day, seeking to know the will of God in my life. I do my best to live healthy. I seek to find the good in all around me. I smile whenever I remember, always trying to build others up.
