Hi I'm Ian

I am serving a mission in Argentina. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love being outdoors and being active! I am from California and love aquatic sports--water polo, swimming, and surfing. I play french horn. I am serving a mission in Argentina. Once I return, I will begin schooling at BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to Mormon parents and was raised in the church. I remember feeling that I was glad that I didn't have to pick or find out if this church was true. But when I was sixteen, it hit me that I have only been going off of other peoples beliefs. It was then that I realized I needed to find out for myself. It would bother me to hear other people say that they knew it was true when I didn't for sure. I had so many doubts. I began reading my scriptures daily and praying daily for a witness from the Holy Ghost if this was true. The truth came piece by piece and I realized that I had faith and a testimony in the church. Once I established this foundation, my life changed dramatically. I felt more confident in myself, I formed good habits, served others more, and could feel a real tangible happiness that comes from living the gospel. I still have some doubts here and there but I know that this church is true because of the spiritual witness that I received for myself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best person I can be. Making good choices leads to happiness! It is so true. I do my best to serve others at all times. Attending church and the temple allows me to gain a greater testimony for this church and allows me to feel the Savior's love more fully. I screw up, but doing all I can to be my best allows me to be blessed and happy.
