Hi I'm Kaua

I like movies, books, music, internet references and the like and I`m a mormon

About Me

My name is Kaihonaomaunakeakahiluneikaua. Or just Kaua is okay too. The length of my name is just one of those things that the occasional set of parents in Hawaii like to do to their children while they have no real power to decide anything for themselves. I`m not alone in this situation, though. I come from a family of six other kids with names of similar length but all distinct in their meanings. I`m not sure what their full names are though given that mine was hard enough to remember in the first place. But that don`t mean I don`t love them, I do. They`re the best. I like to do things. I'm a novice musician who sings and plays guitar. Sometimes I whistle, too. I like sports. I can do them. They`re fun with the right friends There is hardly a movie that goes unwatched by me(a bold claim that I`m not able to support, but I have seen a lot of movies though). I enjoy going hiking. Seeing beautiful Creation is awesome! Nature, space and the stars nestled in it`s shroud coupled with the right tunes make an iota like me feel as big as any sun out there. Speaking of tunes, I almost always have earphones on jamming something away. I like music a lot. Reading books is fun, too. Sci-fi, adventure, fantasy, horror, etc.. all are good but at most times, however Calvin and Hobbes is really one of the hardest to beat. other than that.. I like to cook. I like to bake. and I like to eat. most of all, I like to sleep.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but I have had plenty of opportunities to experience what it was like without the gospel present. I have learned what it's like to be in a place where the Spirit is not and that helps me to know where I should and should not be. The Spirit confirmed to me the truthfulness of this church when I was 12 years old. I was going through many trials and hardships at the time and prayer was the only option available to me. After much effort, I felt the love of the Savior and my burdens were lifted. I have stumbled much since then but I will always remember that feeling. It is that feeling that I strive and look for every day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to remember what the Lord has done for me in my life and try to show my appreciation by following the example of His Son Jesus Christ every day. I have the amazing opportunity to serve as a full time missionary in the Japan Kobe Mission and there share with people this gospel message that has blessed my life so much.. it`s a blast, lemme tell ya
