Hi I'm Elise

I love theater and random dance parties. I'm a super fan of pizza and ice cream. I'm a student, sister, and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student currently studying History Ed at BYU-Idaho. (I'm almost done!) The hope is to one day become the sort of inspiring teacher I have had the privilege of learning from. I have a massive family, with over 100 aunts, uncles, and cousins. They are my very best friends, especially my brothers and sister. I am obsessed with musical theater, and I was inspired by "Thoroughly Modern Millie" to take lessons in tap dance. I am also mildly obsessed with Harry Potter. I love to laugh, which is why you will find the people I hang around are some of the funniest individuals on planet Earth. I feel blessed beyond anything I deserve to have the opportunities and the quality of life that I do. No trial is so hard that a little bit of ice cream and a lot of prayer can't handle.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and the Spirit has testified to me that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of the Lord, and that he restored Christ's church to the earth in this modern time. The more I learn of this gospel, through prayer and study, the more life here on earth makes sense. I have felt so much comfort and peace from my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I will never leave it. I am a Mormon. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

One of the most important ways I live my faith is by being kind. Christ was the ultimate example of perfect love, and it is that kind of charity I strive to live by. Note the key word there: strive. Living in a Christ-like way is more difficult than I ever imagined, but that just makes learning about and experiencing the repentence process even more beautiful. I also live my faith by trying to maintain a positive outlook on the world. Christ promised us peace not from the storm, but through it. As long as we rely on him, everything's gonna be all right.
