Hi I'm Amber

I grew up in Alabama with my amazing mother and grandmother. I love to play the piano, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to draw and sketch in my free time. I like riding horses and I used to take karate, ballet, tap, and jazz classes. I love to sing. I play the piano for enjoyment as well. I am a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in God, the Eternal Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. I know that God loves me because I am His daughter. I love the Gospel because it is true. I love how there is so much to learn about the Church. I believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he translated the Book of Mormon for us in these latter days. If we didn't have the gospel restored to this earth, we would be lost. I'm so thankful to have it in my life. I know that my Redeemer lives and I know that I can live with my Father in Heaven after this earth life as I have before I came to earth. I will stand as a witness of God at all times, and in all things, and in all places.

How I live my faith

I lead the music in Sacrament Meeting every other Sunday. The music and words to the hymns are always uplifting and it really helps when there is someone to lead the congregation in singing.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

We believe in God the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He lives. We believe that he lived on the earth to teach and preach the words of God. He suffered, bled and died on the cross of Calvary for all of the world's sins that happened then and that are happening now. He also resurrected so that we may be resurrected at the last day. This is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Our bodies are "temples." Temples are pure and clean. So should our bodies. Defiling them with tattoos or unnecessary substances, I always ask myself, "Would I want that on my nice, clean temple?" Show more Show less

What is faith?

"Faith is believing and trusting in God. For we have not seen Him or heard Him talk. Faith helps us do what we know is right. It grows when we follow God's light. Faith is like a tiny seed that's really very small. But like a seed in sun and rain, its sure to grow." Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Heavenly Father wants us to be happy, even if it means to make sacrifices. He know what is best for us and wants us to return to live with Him. He loves us very much. And in my experience, keeping the Commandments of God makes me a happier person. He wants us to be closer together and live in righteous ways. A huge part of Heavenly Father's plan is to have families together forever, not just in this life, but in the afterlife. As we keep the Commandments of God, we will be blessed in some way. What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ. It is a record of the living prophets who knew of God's Plan and who knew of Christ's purpose on this earth, that he paid the price of sin. The Book of Mormon very much corresponds with the Bible. Those who pray and read and have a true desire to know of its truth, shall receive an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost.
