Hi I'm Elder Kolb

I grew up in Missouri. I am serving in a Mission in Idaho. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I've graduated High School in the year of 2013, I like to play soccer, I like to fly R/C Airplanes and Helicopters, I'm serving a mission before I start to go to college.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born into the church, but I have chosen to follow Him in this gospel. It has blessed my life and it will bless my future life when I have a family of my own. This Gospel is a great thing that we have, to know that we have the true church of Christ and to follow Him till the end. He sacrifice His life for us so that we can return to our Heavenly Father and to have eternal life. To have the Atonement that we can go through for repentance so that we can be clean and to be in the presence of God. That he loves us and wants the best for us and to always know that He has not forgotten us and knows each one of us and what we are capable of. To know that we have a Prophet that has been called of God to guide His people in the right direction and to warn us of anything that may hurt us or our families. To have the priesthood on the earth again and to know that we have the power of God to heal and bless people that need it to be strengthen. That one day He will come and to bring peace to the earth.

How I live my faith

I help out with anyone that needs help, service is always a good way to show that you care for other people in your home town or church. A small act can go a long way for someone that is in need, a simple smile to someone can brighten their day. You don't always have to get a reward at the end, the warm feeling in your heart that you feel when you're done with the service should be enough for a reward.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Elder Kolb
We also believe that the Bible is the word of God, a lot of people say that we are adding onto the Bible. Wouldn't God want all of his children to hear what He has said and than why would He not give it to us? He wants all of us to hear what He has said and ponder what he said to us. The Bible and The Book of Mormon go hand in hand, that they connect with each other. The Book of Mormon is when Jesus Christ went and taught the people in the America's, to share the gospel to them that haven't gotten to hear it. The Book of Mormon is an important part of our religion, but it is not the main part of our religion. Jesus is the center of our religion, like everyone else. The Old Testament and The New Testament is a Testament of Jesus Christ, The Book of Mormon is also a Testament of Jesus Christ. Wouldn't it be important to read The Book of Mormon as well since it is a Testament of Jesus Christ? It is another part of the scriptures that our Heavenly Father wants us to read and come to know that it is true Testament of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Elder Kolb
These things can be addictive to all of us. We say that we should keep our bodies healthy, so that we can stay active as we get older. That if we follow the these standards that we can have a healthy mind, and not have a cigarette or have that cup of coffee in the morning to get our bodies going. Not always have that craving as the day goes on, that we don't have to be chained down by it that if we don't take one than our days seem to get worse or we start to lose our energy. Our Heavenly Father wants us to keep our bodies clean and not to have unhealthy things in our bodies that it can hurt us later in life. Show more Show less
