Hi I'm Kyle Borne

Born and Raised in Texas. I am a Convert to the Church at 20 and married shortly after. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior university student in Public Relations, and married for almost three years. I am an avid sports fan; football, baseball, basketball, hockey, motor-sports you name it. I am a PR Intern with a hockey team as well and enjoying progressing in life. I love to read, be outside, and travel. I am a convert to the church for a little over 3 years. I started college at a Catholic University before coming home to Texas. In Texas I met my wife and converted to the church before getting married. Being the only one in my family that is a member of the church has been trying at times but more rewarding than I could ever imagine as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the one and Only true Church. I have been on a life long mission to find truth. My mom was baptized catholic, and practiced her faith but believed I should make decision to become baptized on my own. Because of this I grew up attending church with friends in protestant churches. I read the bible as a child, and had a firm belief in the gospel of Christ. What I never had until later on was membership in a church. My mother started me on a road to find truth and it was mine desire to find a Church I could belong in and worship are Heavenly Father. I attended college freshman year at a small Catholic college and found the experience to be edifying. The spirit of prayer in the classroom was overwhelming and I learned a great deal. However, for some reason I still wasn't baptized in the Catholic Church. I am unsure why, but I know it is because God and the spirit were sending me on a different course. I met my later to be wife, and introduced to the Church. Her Dad was at the time not an official member, but he knew more about the Gospel than you could imagine! I enjoyed my experience at their ward and became more and more curious about this strong spirit I was feeling in the meetings. I began to read the Book of Mormon and was astonished of the truth it testified of! The Book of Mormon has led me to know the Bible better, and the precepts taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have brought me closer to the Lord. I know that by attending a sacrament meeting anyone can feel that spirit that caused me to completely change my course in life. I also know that by reading the Book of Mormon anyone can feel closer to our Savior and better understand the meaning of life. I seek to be a refuge and help for all those seeking truth, and I know through the gospel all can know their Savior Jesus Christ. Being baptized, given the priesthood, and sealed in the holy temple has changed my life. I want that for everyone else as well!

How I live my faith

Living in Utah I have been able to attend a "Married Student" ward. This has been a great edifying experience that has allowed me to grow in the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet others in the same point of life as me. Through home-teaching (in the Melchizedek Priesthood) I have had some amazing experiences. Helping the sick and afflicted, sharing great spiritual thoughts and overall just learning how to put myself out there and serve those in need. Service has been the best teacher of how to be closer to Christ and something that I continue to strive towards. I hope to be available and worthy whenever Heavenly Father calls me to serve. In my life, being a pioneer of the Church gives me great opportunities to share the gospel. My example to my parents, family and friends is all the more important. How I act shows what the church and the gospel is all about. I am doing my best to constantly be learning. Through preparation, trials and endurance I grow more and more each day.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Kyle Borne
The Family is the center of God's Plan. Families are eternal and can be together forever! Through the holy temples this blessing can be sealed upon you! I know this doctrine to be true. Having a household with the spirit of the Lord provides the base for all great things to be accomplished in this life. Through the power of the priesthood, and the harmony of a family these blessings can transform. The traditional family unity of a man and a woman, raising children, is the most important and beautiful thing we can achieve as children of God. Show more Show less
