Hi I'm Julianne

I grew up in Utah. I enjoy the outdoors and experiencing life to the fullest. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love hiking, the outdoors, flowers, mountains, waterfalls, clouds, beautiful sunsets/sunrises, the moon, thunder/lightning storms, the beach, photography, traveling, nice people, and most of all my family. I have never had the opportunity to marry, although I hope to find someone some day that shares my same values, goals, and interests. I graduated from Brigham Young University in Elementary Education but never ended up teaching. I work in information technology as an analyst in telecom support. Some friends and family call me Jules but I usually go by Julie.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a Mormon Pioneer heritage from the lineage of both my parents. My forefathers sacrificed much to come to America and to the Salt Lake Valley. I was raised as a Latter-day Saint and have been faithful to my religion all my life. It is a way of life, and I cannot imagine my life without the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is fundamental to the person that I am. The principles taught in the Mormon religion are good and true. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know we have a prophet on the earth today and he receives revelation from God. I know the heavens are not closed. We too can receive personal revelation from God for our own lives. I know if we follow the prophet, we will never be led astray.

How I live my faith

I have grown up serving in my church from the time I was very young. My parents and siblings have been wonderful examples to me of service to others. I have worked with children, youth, and adults and enjoy doing things for others. I find that when I serve others, I forget my own problems and life is much more enjoyable. I have had the opportunity to travel to the Holy Land where I lived and studied for a semester abroad when I was a student at Brigham Young University. I lived in the BYU Jerusalem Center and studied the Old and New Testament as well as modern and ancient Near Eastern History. It was fascinating to me to live among the Palestinians and Jews and see first-hand the conflict that has plagued that area for centuries. I came to know and love my Savior Jesus Christ in a way that was very personal to me as we studied the scriptures and then traveled to the areas we were studying. I will never forget my experiences there. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, He lived and died and was resurrected. His Atonement is the single most significant and important event of all of human history. My experiences in the Holy Land are still the best things I have ever done in my life.
