Hi I'm Jake

Hi I'm Jake and I love to play the piano, drums, card games, basketball, chair soccer, Frisbee, run, smile, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

It starts from teaching a lesson, sharing a scripture, praying with random people that you just met. The thing that drives someone to go out and share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for two years. The Holy Spirit is the key part of being a missionary and I strive to have it guide me in my life every day! Although not perfect, the satisfaction of sharing the gospel brings the greatest joy that I've experienced in my life! Being a missionary is my life right now but before I came on a mission I enjoyed playing the piano, drums, playing card games, running cross country, having fun with family and friends, playing Frisbee and chair soccer, and having good clean fun! A happy life is a Christ centered life! Trying our best to become like Christ and doing what He would do if He were in our shoes! Life is great, and I love being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

Why I am a Mormon

I am part of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints because I have been baptized by one holding authority from God, and made promises to strive to keep God's commandments. I am a Mormon because of the faith I have in Christ and I know that both the Bible and the Book of Mormon testify of Christ and are true! Because of the testimony I have in the scriptures and of prayer I have felt the Holy Ghost in my life and know that this is the one church that has the fullness of the truth! I have seen the fruit of the gospel in my life, my families life's, my friends life's, in the members life's where I am serving my mission, and I love it!

How I live my faith

I strive to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to those that will listen and are prepared to learn here in the Tallahassee Florida Mission! It's fantastic! :)

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Jake
Man should worship God according to their own believes. Respecting people as individuals and the choices they make is a key part. We hold the temple in very high respect. It is a Holy place where God dwells. In temples we make promises to God by the way that we strive to live. Although non members are not invited inside (after it has been dedicated), all people are welcome to visit the grounds and to feel of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
