Hi I'm Charlie

I grew up in New York. I served in the US Air Force. I settled in Ohio near my wife's relatives and my children.

About Me

I am a civilian employee of the United States Air Force, the happily married father of seven, grandfather of 24 and great-grandfather of 4. I swam competitively many years ago, and swimming is still my main form of exercise. I am a ham radio operator at the technician level.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up on the East coast totally unaware of the existance of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I had attended several churches, but had not found one where I felt I fit. After I joined the Air Force, I began attending their meetings with the girl I eventually married. As I learned more about the church through interaction with members and formal lessons, I realized I had found the answer to my searching. Now 40 years later, I am just as sure I made the right decision. It has been the perfect environment for my family through all the moves while in the military. It is still the supportive and loving community I am so happy to be a part of.

How I live my faith

I am actively involved in my church, serving in an advisory capacity and as a guest speaker to several congregations in the area. I also participate in the scout committee for my own congregation, now my sleeping of the cold ground days are far behind me. I have been assigned to make monthly visits to the homes of a few members of our congregation to provide needed support and to bring a gospel message.
