Hi I'm Kij

I'm a happy college student. I'm a future Airman. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student at Utah State University. I'm also a cadet in the Air Force ROTC. I love doing stuff! I'm a huge fan of food. I love anything outdoors: hiking, hunting, fishing, rock climbing, and camping. Sports are awesome. I love wrestling, football and weightlifting. Anything active, fun, or adventurous is what I like doing. There's nothing better than making good memories with my family and friends. I'm a happy college student. I'm a future Airman. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of the LDS church because I know that it is true. I know that God himself guides his children as a group through his chosen prophet. I have seen that when I strive to be a good Mormon, I am happier. There's no doubt that Christ has restored the same church that he put on the earth during his ministry.I know that He will bless me, forgive me, and help me reach my potential as I try to follow him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply trying to be a good person. I look for opportunities to serve and help others. I read scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, everyday. I do my best to pray to Heavenly Father sincerely as often as I can. And most importantly, I try to emulate Christ's example. I try to do what he would do, think what he would think, and say what he would say.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Kij
God has given us commandments so that we can live happily. None of us are perfect, and we all disobey. We also have mortal weaknesses; we get sick, we grow old, we die. That's why we need a Savior. Christ kept all the commandments and lived perfectly. He suffered to pay the price of our disobedience. He died, and then rose again. Because of his suffering, we can repent and be saved from our mistakes and disobedience. Through his death and resurrection, we are saved from death and mortality. We will all live again in perfect form. If we follow and trust in Christ, we will live with God again. That is how we are saved by Christ. Show more Show less
