Hi I'm Camille

I'm a recent BYU grad living in Michigan as I prepare to serve an LDS mission in Mexico.

About Me

I come from a family of four where I am the youngest of two children. Because my father is from Uruguay, we are a big soccer family, and I grew up playing and watching soccer extensively. I studied English at Brigham Young University and love to read. While in school, I had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad in Spain and was able to develop a great love of travel. After finishing school, I spent seven months working at a tech company in Provo. I recently received a mission call to the Mexico Cuernavaca Mission and am preparing to spend 18 months serving the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

Living the teachings of the gospel has changed my life entirely. Although I was baptized at eight, I didn't choose to live the gospel until I moved to Utah to attend college. At BYU, I initially felt lonely and sad as I tried to adapt to a new place and make friends. For the first time, I sincerely prayed to my Heavenly Father to feel comfort as I made many changes to my life during my first year of college. Since then, I have felt greater peace than ever as I've aligned my life with the teachings of Christ. I have a testimony that God is real and that he knows and loves us. I've felt my family grow closer as we've strengthened our personal testimonies and turned outwardly to serve others. These principles have become the foundation of my life, and I know that it's because of them that I've never felt more joy and peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith first through personal study and prayer. I study the scriptures daily to learn more about Jesus Christ and His teachings, to gain insight on how I become a better person, and to receive personal direction in my life. Attending my ward (while at school) and my branch (while at home) has provided me with opportunities to teach, to testify, and to serve those around me.

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?
