Hi I'm Amanda

I grew up in Utah. I'm serving a mission in California. I build schools in Guatemala. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary serving in the California Ventura Mission! I grew up in Clearfield Utah in a family of 8. I've been a member of the church my whole life, but it wasn't until I graduated high school that I realized just how much the church had blessed my life and how much I had taken those blessings for granted and made the decision to come out on a mission. I love the gospel and am so grateful to be serving the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I have a testimony that this church is the only true church on this earth. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and wants the best for me in this life. He has blessed me with a Savior who came to earth and died for me. I know that Jesus Christ knows who I am. Not only does He know who I am, but He knows exactly what I am going through and how I am feeling. He lives and loves me. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know that the teachings inside are true. I know they are true because I have knelt down and asked my Heavenly Father if they are true. I love the Book of Mormon. It is the most true book that has ever been written. I continually find answers to my questions when I read. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I know that he was chosen to be a prophet and to restore this gospel. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have to attend the temple and feel of God's love. I know that this work I am taking part in as a missionary, is a work of love. I love this gospel and I love my Savior.

How I live my faith

I think that the gospel is best shared through example. I love living the principles of the church that make me so happy, and then sharing my reason for happiness with others. One of my favorite things about the church is that it brings people together in a way that a lot of other things can't. It allows us to serve one another, and get to know each other as sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father--seeing each other as He sees us. Also, because of the way the church is organized, it makes sure no one gets left behind. I love serving as a missionary in the California Ventura Mission. This involves teaching people about their relationship with our loving Heavenly Father as His children, His Plan of Happiness that allows our families to be together forever, and about the atonement of Jesus Christ, along with all the many other wonderful doctrines and principles that have been restored to us through latter-day living prophets.
