Hi I'm Christian Gardiner

Born in Utah, grew up in California. I'm serving a full-time mission and I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Just like a lot of other young guys, I love to play video games. I also like to work on film projects anywhere from editing to filming, even acting and directing. I love the whole process and hope to make a career out of film and the creative industry. I'm currently a full time missionary, serving in the West Virginia, Charleston Mission. I love my family, both near and far, and find new people to call family everywhere I go. I grew up attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have always known that the gospel was true. I'm on a mission, learning the skills that will benefit the children of God, both here on my mission, and those I'll be able to serve when I'm back home. The best things I've ever done in my life, have always been related to service. Serving others is the way we actually learn others value, and who we actually are inside.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up living in a house that practiced these beliefs. However, what has kept me true to the faith was witnessing first hand that not everyone has the comfort or safety I get from my beliefs. Having a knowledge of my purpose and my goals in life helps me feel compassion towards others and makes me feel like even the small things are worth while. The church is so well organized and service oriented that it makes me feel like there's purpose to our actions and eventually we'll all benefit from it.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and try to show others by example my beliefs. I avoid harsh language and ask others, even my co-workers to do so as well. I try to do those things I think that the Savior would have done. Even if its just holding a door open or picking up a dropped pen. I openly discuss my beliefs and try to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. In essence, I'm trying to be like Jesus through acts of kindness to my fellow human beings because I know life is a gift. I am now serving a full-time two year mission in an effort to bring others the knowledge that I have. I love my Savior and we have been asked to spread his Gospel and to teach them the things that he would have us do. He died for my sins, the least I can do is serve my brothers and sisters and teach them those things that can draw us nearer to our God.

Are Mormons Christians?

Christian Gardiner
We are absolutely Christian's. In fact my name is Christian which means to be a follower or disciple of Jesus Christ. Being Christian is to say that we believe in Christ and His Atonement. I do my best every day, as a member of this church, and as a Christian, to live a life that shows others that I love and follow our Savior. The Gospel of Jesus Christ promotes a way of life that supports this and in fact promotes this way of thinking and behaving. I am serving a full-time mission as a representative of Jesus Christ for two years. My purpose is to help others come unto Christ and to live a life in tune with that which the Savior taught us to live. If doing those things that the Son of God would do isn't being a "Christian" that I might as well change my name. Show more Show less
