Hi I'm Connor Dimick

I grew up in Las Vegas, I speak Japanese, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Connor and I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I like to say I grew up in Las Vegas but in reality I've grown up all over the place. I've moved over 20 times! Currently, I'm living in Japan as a missionary for the church. As a missionary, I will be serving as a full time volunteer for 2 years. How cool is that! It's kind of hard to leave my friends, family, and hobbies for these 2 years but I know it's worth it. I'm giving people in Japan an opportunity to learn about God and how to communicate with Him. That's priceless knowledge that has helped me so much in my life. At the end of the two years as a missionary I don't intend to stop teaching people about the gospel. I might not be a missionary anymore but that doesn't mean I can't share my experiences with others. Once I return home, I plan on continuing to study Japanese and becoming a high school teacher. Some people may not see the worth in that but I believe you have to do what you love and I love helping others, especially helping others learn. I also plan on writing a book in my spare time. I've always loved reading. There's just something about reading a book or watching an anime or movie about some distant land where magical things happen. I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of experiences I have had in the past that led me to believe in God's plan for my family and I. In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we believe that we can live with our families forever. That teaching is priceless. Through prayer and experiences I had as a result of it, I have come to know that it is true. God wants us to return to his presence with our families. That is our purpose in life. I want an eternal family so I am doing all that I can to achieve it. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am on a volunteer mission in Japan for 2 years. Besides that, I try my best to live my life in a way that Christ would approve of. That includes doing service for others, studying about the gospel, sharing the gospel, and just being a good person in general. I have a goal in life to have spent more time doing those kinds of things than not. So that means I need to cut back on the video games just a little bit. :p
