Hi I'm Paul

I love the outdoors. I have an amazing family. I am an artist and love the creative process. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a husband and a father. That's what I prefer to be defined as most of all. I have had many chances to do and try many things, all kinds of sports and hobbies that are challenging and fun and provide perspective and learning. Professionally I am an artist. I really love the creative process and being involved in bringing things together to create something new and fresh. It's fascinating and inspiring to me to see things evolve and come into existence that was not there before. As a husband and father the relationships I build with my wife and children are key to helping shape their lives as well as my own. This to me is an incredibly profound way to be creative.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a Mormon family and the church has always been a part of my life. I watched my parents and there activity in the Church which informed much of what I did as a child and teenager. However as I grew older and the inevitable separation that happens from your parents I had to study out and decide what was right for me. I had a good basis and understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ but needed to decide if I was going to continue to live it as my parents had taught me. I began to live it on a more personal level based on my own decision to do so and not my parents. As I lived the gospel, which means serving others and trying to focus time and attention on somebodies needs besides my own it became clear to me through those experiences that I was happier and so were the people that I was with. That's the way the Savior Jesus Christ lived his life and he had a profound affect on the world. I came to the conclusion that is how I wanted to live my life as well. The Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter-day Saints provides opportunities and guidance that makes it possible to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ as it is meant to be lived. Now in turn It has put me in a position as a father to teach my own children the same principles that my parents taught me. It has had a profound affect on my life and perspective. It makes me happy and gives me the desire to share that happiness with others.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is an everyday activity. It includes daily scripture study and prayer and hopefully if I can keep my focus, opportunities to practice the things I learn through those activities. I attend church meetings every Sunday where I have been involved in teaching the youth of my congregation for many years. As I interact with them they teach me and being available to help them with there questions or projects provides more answers to my personal questions and better understanding about my Heavenly Fathers over all plan and how I fit into that. Those kinds of experiences help my faith and understanding constantly grow.
