Hi I'm Peter Rota

I grew up in Kiribati Country within Tarawa the main Island......I'm a Mormon. I know that this Gospel is true!!!!!!!

About Me

I grew up in Kiribat. I love running and Basketball.. I've always had a reggae and country music to hear, especially rock. I could listen to it all day. Currently I'm serving as a proselyting missionary in the Oklahoma Oklahoma City Mission Speaking Marshallese and I love it. People here a wonderful. Its a great opportunity to serve the Lord and to live in christian life. *The Church is True and the book is blue*.

Why I am a Mormon

I live my faith by talking to everyone about it. On the street, on the bus, at their door, etc. The place doesn't really matter, but the message we share does.

How I live my faith

I'm a Mormon because it brings me joy. It gives me a knowledge that after this life I can be with my family. Knowing about and applying Jesus Christ's sacrifice gives me confidence and helps me to be at peace with myself. It gives me a firm purpose as well. That's why I'm a Mormon I know this church is true and i know that Joseph Smith restore this gospel through is faith.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Peter Rota
After the Apostles and many righteous Church members were killed and other members departed from the truth, the Lord took the priesthood authority and His Church from the earth. Without God’s priesthood authority, the Church no longer functioned as Christ had established it. The ordinances were changed and many plain and simple truths were lost. While many good people and some truth remained, the original Church was lost Joseph Smith’s First Vision marked the beginning of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. In subsequent years, Christ restored His priesthood and reorganized His Church. He has continued to reveal truths to His prophets and to restore the blessings that were taken from the earth for a time. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Peter Rota
No!!!!!! We do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God our Eternal Father and the risen Lord Jesus Christ. But we acknowledge the Prophet; we proclaim him; we respect him; we reverence him as an instrument in the hands of the Almighty in restoring to the earth the ancient truths of the divine gospel, together with the priesthood which the authority of God is exercised in the affairs of His Church and for the blessing of His people" Show more Show less
