Hi I'm Jessica Coleman

Born in England, raised in Southern California, serving in Nebraska.

About Me

I was born in England, I have lived in Singapore, Brazil, and Canada. I am currently a sophomore in high school, living in California. My friends and family mean the world to me. I am the youngest of four, with both a brother and sister out on a mission. I'm constantly traveling to new places and plan on traveling the rest of my life. I'm a big enthusiast of anything outdoors and always seem to find myself having fun. I love to draw and paint and spend hours on end designing new things. I also think music is the greatest thing in the world. I think life is the best & I am so grateful for being able to live in a world as beautiful as this.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the church makes me happy. I find so much comfort in the teachings of my church and find so many of my questions (about all kinds of things like: is there a purpose to my life? does God love and care about ME individually? why am i here on earth? etc.) to be answered. I also find comfort in reading the Book of Mormon and have come to know after reading it for myself that all the words filling it's pages are true. I know without a doubt that there is a God who knows and loves each and everyone of us individually. I know all he wants is for us to be happy and so when trials occur he isn't the one to blame, in fact if he could have it his way we never would face problems; but if we all lived without hardships we wouldn't learn & grow and definitely not appreciate all the good things in life. I know God hears and answers prayers and find this knowledge to be such a gift in my life. I know my family will be together forever because of my church and wouldn't want to live my life any other way.

How I live my faith

I go to church every sunday for 3 hours. Not because i have to, but because i want to. My church brings me so much happiness. I even attend bible study or what we call "seminary"every morning before school. Yes, i lose an extra hour of sleep every day. Again, not because i have to, but because i want to. I find it the best way to start off my morning. I do my best to be a good example of my church by following the teachings of Jesus Christ because i know the commandments will bring me true happiness.
