Hi I'm Anika Dunkley

I am thirteen years old and I live in Southern California. I love to explore the world around me. I am a mormon.

About Me

I am thirteen years old and i am in the eight grade. I live in Orange County. I have lived in California for my entire life and I love it here. I enjoy going to the beach where I can go surfing and spend all day in the sun. I also play soccer, I have played since first grade and love the sport. I live with my mom, dad, and my four younger siblings. Having so many kids at home certainly makes my life crazy but I love the energy and couldn't imagine my life any other way. School is a very important thing to me I work very hard to get good grades. one day I hope to go to Stanford or BYU where I can further my studies. I also hope to get married in the temple one day where I can be sealed for time and all eternity. So far my favorite thing to do is travel I I have been to nine states and six counties and hope to visit many more places I love to explore the world and admire the unique qualities of gods children all over the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that the church is true. Even though I was born into this wonderful religion I have developed my own love and understanding of this gospel. I greatly admire the programs that are organized by the church and the positive influence that they have on me that help me stay on track all week long. I also greatly admire the leaders of this church. I know that their teachings are true and that they want nothing more than our eternal happiness. I have experienced the beautiful blessing that come from joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and hope that one day I will be able to expeirince these great things for myself. and that is why I am a mormon

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by choosing to dress modestly. it isn't always easy and sometimes I receive criticism for the way I dress but I know that I am making the right decision by respecting my body in that way. I also try to always make an effort to be kind and friendly to everybody. using encouraging words on a daily basis not only lifts the spirits of others mine as well it truly believe that the best way to be happy is by seving and being kind to others. I also love to share my faith among my friends and peers. Many kids and teachers from school no that I am mormon and are very respectful of that. The benefits of being open about my religion is it prevents people from temping me to do bad things. I love to bring my friends to activities so they can see the fun positive environment we have at church, this summer I even brought a non-member friend to Girls Camp with me. The last way I live my faith is through service. I love to do volunteer work and help out wherever help is needed.
