Hi I'm Elena

I'm short and funny. I love to listen to music, hang out with friends, to do art and go running every morning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Russia and got adopted to a family of ten, so i'm the fourth oldest. I recently graduated from Kahuku high school in Hawaii, had a good job, and now I'm just preparing myself to go on a mission. I'm going to New York, New York north mission where I'll be teaching the true gospel and helping people to find their way towards Heavenly Father and the lord Jesus Christ. :) I love to draw, go running every morning, spent time with family and friends, and go to church. I love my family and I appreciate their good examples towards me. I believe that there is a point in everyone's life where we have to have God, because we have nothing else. I hope that when I serve as a missionary... I will help others to know God. That the Lord loves and cares for them.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was in Russia I didn't really know who Christ and God was... until I met some people on the street that told me about Jesus and God and to be baptized, but that was all. They told me that if we are to be baptized we would be saved and all our sins will be washed away... so I was baptized to orthodox church but to me it didn't feel right, like there was something missing in my life. I didn't feel like I was being baptized, because they only sprinkled water on me and they didn't really explain who Christ was in that church. Being little I really had no one to talk to and share my feelings to... so, I would talk to myself all the time. Having no mom around, no dad, and living in orphanage was a hard life for me. I would always wish to myself that someday I would hope to have a better life and maybe get adopted. "You weren't always talking to yourself and wishing but you were praying to Heavenly Father", my adopted mom said. When I got baptized into the Mormon church, I felt so good, happy, and love all around me especially from Heavenly Father. I had a family that loved me and supported me. The members in the church never excluded me and they always were there for me. If I didn't accept His church... I wouldn't know Christ and about the true the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful that I am a part of His church and now I have an opportunity to share my testimony about Christ. I believe that I am a child and a daughter of God. I believe that he is there and that he loves and cares for us, no matter where we are and what we do. I believe that God gave us trials and weakness, so that we would be able to come to him because he loves us. It's not easy but we have to be strong and do he want's us to do because he knows the best for All of us. I know that God and Christ love me, and I believe that if we stay strong and do what is right we would be able to return to live with him for an eternity.

How I live my faith

My family is very strong about the gospel, so that has helped me a lot through out my life and in keeping my faith closer to my heart. I love going to church because, It's so peaceful and I could always have time to talk to my Heavenly Father personally. When I go to places, people would ask me about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints... I wouldn't be afraid to tell them, because I know that would be my opportunity to share my testimony about Jesus Christ church. I live my faith because I know it is true with all my heart. :) and my testimony grows everyday when I live it! Faith is one thing that I had to use through out my life because I've seen the blessings from our Father in Heaven when I need Him. One thing that everyone should know is that we all need our faith especially faith in Jesus Christ. That's how we all could get knowledge and our testimonies stronger because we would know through Him all things are possible!
