Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in California. I love the beach. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a soon-to-be missionary and struggling artist, with a passion for fashion. In the past year I moved with my family from beautiful California to a whole new state and have been adjusting to this strange, new, and beautiful environment I now find myself in. My life is just beginning and I am excited for what my Heavenly Father has planned for me.

Why I am a Mormon

With so much hate and violence in the world sometimes it can be hard to find peace and happiness, and yet amongst all of the darkness I found it. That is what this gospel is to me. It is peace in the middle of a storm. It is my strength to endure and my joy of knowing that all will be well. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven with all of my heart. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His gospel restored on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best each day; to serve, love, and reach out to others around me. Every Sunday I attend church as well as Young Single Adult activities and am apart of the Relief Society, a group of women dedicated to service. I am also currently preparing to serve a mission for the Church in Georgia and I can't wait to go!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." James 1:5-6 You are the child of a loving Father in Heaven who wants to and will answer your prayers. I know that as you pray with sincere intent, asking if what you are learning and have learned is true, and continue to study and ponder that the Lord will provide an answer to you through the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is a still small voice; listen with your heart for the quite whisperings of inspiration and follow God's commandments so that you can be ready to feel the Holy Ghost. Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

We believe in another book besides the Bible that testifies of Christ. This book is called the Book of Mormon, and was translated by Joseph Smith through divine inspiration. We as members believe in it and study it hence why a lot of the time we are referred to as Mormons or our religion as Mormonism. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Could you imagine what it would feel like to be in the presence of an all loving Heavenly Father who knows all the deeds and thoughts you have ever had or done? If it were me and I was face to face with God and there was no way for me to repent or make myself clean of things I've done that have been offensive to Him I would not feel comfortable or worthy, especially in the presence of someone who loves me so much. That is why we need a Savior. A perfect being even the Son of God came to this earth suffering all manner of affliction, even death so that we might be able to become clean again and one day return to the presence of a loving Father in Heaven. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and I know that He loves you and me very much. Show more Show less
