Hi I'm Nathaniel Wilcox

I grew up in Provo, Utah. I am 18 years old, and I'm serving a full time mission for the Church in Russia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a great life. In the past four years (my high school years) I have found a passion for running, music, computers and technology. I was on my high school's cross country and track teams for four years. I really enjoyed those experiences. One of my biggest goals was to be able to run in the State meet, which I finally did in my Senior year track season. I also really enjoy computers, technology, and everything technical. I've always been the guy in my family who fixes the computer when it's not working or helps repair a bike when it breaks. I just really enjoy fixing and tinkering with things. Right now I'm on a mission in Russia. I can't describe how great it is to be able to serve. When my mission is finished, I am going to go to college, where I will (hopefully) be able to figure out what I want to do with my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me well. They have always been encouraging when it came to the Church and the Gospel. They have taught me and my family, through their words and their actions, how much joy and peace can come from living the gospel. But I am not a Mormon simply because they want me to be. I have gained, for myself, an unshakable testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church of God on this earth. I believe, and know, that it is truly the ultimate source of happiness and peace in a world that sometimes seems confused, chaotic, and sad. Without the constant strength my faith gives me, I would be no better than the rest of the world. I'm not ashamed to say that I would likely be a much worse person. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives my hope, purpose, and strength to endure. I could not survive without that. I love my Savior, I love His church, and I want to live my life in such a way that I can stand up before Him and have him say "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."

How I live my faith

As I've grown up, I've tried my very best to do what is right. I went to church every Sunday, I did what was asked of me by church leaders, and I enjoyed doing it. I have been asked to do things like visiting elderly members of my ward, give lessons and talks in church, and give service, such as yard work, to those who could not do it themselves. I have tried to be an example that others would want to follow. Now, I have the amazing opportunity to serve a mission. I continue to serve others, and the Lord, in every circumstance and situation.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Nathaniel Wilcox
Missionaries want to share a message that teaches about Jesus Christ, His church, and our purpose on this earth. They will teach about our loving Heavenly Father and His plan of happiness, which includes the Atonement of Jesus Christ, which allows all of Heavenly Father's children to return to Him.
