Hi I'm Mike

I grew up in Wales, I'm an ex soldier and I'm a mormon

About Me

My hobbies are fishing, drawing, photography and reading the scriptures, I served for 7 years in the British Army. I became my wife's full time carer last February and have found that my faith has given me the strength to get through the toughest of times and prayer has helped me make the hardest decisions of my life and ensure my wife gets the best care possible, even when it broke my heart to do so. Knowing that our Heavenly Father is always with us and would never give us more than we can handle has kept me strong.

Why I am a Mormon

Before i joined the church I probably broke every rule in the book especially as a young soldier and had also been fighting to get contact with my daughter for 7 years but nothing ever seemed to go right. However when my friend spoke to me about the gospel especially the plan of salvation, something told me that I had to find out more. My friend told me that if I wanted to know if what he was telling me was the truth then I need only pray. So I went home and just as he instructed I prayed to know if this gospel and faith was true and if it was could i have some sign or something that'd tell me heavenly father was listening. 3 days later i received a letter from the courts inviting me to a meeting to discuss me seeing my daughter. The letter was dated the day after i had said that prayer. i knelt down and sobbed and thanked our heavenly father for showing me that this is the true gospel and that he does exist. After 7 years of getting no where with the courts the day after I prayed with a broken and sincere heart the courts did a complete reversal and asked me to arrange through them to see my daughter. ever since then I have been baptised, recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost and been ordained to the office of priest. I have been through so many trials since then but i just read the scriptures and pray and i find no problem, no trial and no sacrifice is to great with the help of our heavenly father and our saviour jess christ

How I live my faith

I am a holder of the priesthood which has brought me many blessings both in the church and at home. I pray regularly and have regular meetings with other church members.
