Hi I'm Kirsten Peters

I grew up in North Carolina and I love to laugh and have fun. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to be serving a 18 month mission in California Arcadia. I am an Aunt to two beautiful little kids! I love being their Auntie and I wouldn't change them for the world! I love my job being a nanny to the sweetest like 10 month old boy! Ever since I was a young kid I have always enjoyed playing and watching sports. More specifically I loved basketball and softball. I played them from the time I was 5 to now. My main supporter in those years were always my parents. I love seeing new things, whether that be new art, new people, new movies, new place, new season. I have slowly become more susceptible to change. My absolute favorite time of the year is fall. The smells of autumn days with pumpkin and vanilla is what bring us all to the table, and the slow graceful change in the coloring of the trees bring the warmth that the sun does no longer. The softness in the air is something felt at no other time in the year.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 15 my dad passed away. Leaving my family and I in a very hard emotion state. He was our glue up until that point. My fathers death was a pinnacle in my life. This was where I began to grow and understand that I needed to figure out what kind of path I wanted to walk down. For the first time what was going through my head wasn't "What do my parents want me to do?"; it was "What do I want to do from now on?'' I learned that there are so many choice in life and that there are normally an obvious wrong or right answer, it would just take moment for me to step back and see both sides. The gospel is what has helped me know and understand to make those right choices, also what I am to do and be in this life. It was after I gained a testimony of the church and its truthfulness that I learned I could get through my hardships in this life. The testimony I now have of the plan of salvation is strong and I know without any doubt that I will see and be with my dad again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best daily to pray and and read the scriptures. Being the only Mormon in my circle of friends I strive to be a good example of the believers. I am going to live my faith by serving in the California Arcadia mission for 18 months to share the gospel.
