Hi I'm Myranda Annelli Jones

I love being a missionary and speaking the holy language, Español. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family; they are my best friends. They encourage me in being me and becoming someone they know I can become. Art is something I am passionate about and I love creating something my own. I am looking forward to earning a degree in illustration at Brigham Young University, and I can't wait to have a career. I love movies and I love going to the movies on the weekends; it's a tradition in our family to go at least twice a month. I am so excited about the gospel and the message it brings. I cannot wait to teach the people of Mexico City!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many, many reasons, however, the most important reason is so I can return to my Heavenly Father again after I pass from this life. Being baptized into this church was the best decision I've ever made because now, I am one step closer to living with my Father again. I know through God's mercy we can be forgiven for all our mistakes and given a second chance; and that is why I rely on having the sacrament every Sunday. I am so blessed to have the Holy Ghost in my life comforting me, guiding me, warning me when necessary, and simply being there for me; I rely on him every day. God wants us to be with him, we are his children, after all; we are everything to him. That is why I do my best to please Him, to make Him proud of me by living up to His standards. Life will get tough, but I know God will be there; He sent His son to die for us so we could live with Him again. I know He listens to our prayers because He wants us to be happy and wants to know what He can do to help, even if He has to say no sometimes. I trust Him enough to know I can get through any trial with His help, and I do. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, I owe my life and so much more to them and I know by being a part of this church I am doing what He wants me to do. I am so grateful we have prophets today representing Jesus Christ to help us along. I know God loves us and I know this church is true. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by encouraging others to serve and give of themselves.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Myranda Annelli Jones
The scriptures are the literal words of God. One way God talks to us is through the scriptures, and with constant meditation and seeking for the truth with the scriptures God will tell us what he needs from us and how we can further serve him and his children. By reading the scriptures and praying with "a sincere heart [and] real intent" we may know the truth of all things (Moroni 10:4-5). Answers to the prayers in our hearts can be found in the scriptures, whatever questions they may be. By reading the scriptures our faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement can be strengthened, furthering our progress of conversion. To be converted is knowing with God and the Atonement we may have the power to do all things, and the only way to know that is to read of His words in the scriptures. God talks to us through the scriptures and through the Book of Mormon we may know His plan for us. The Book of Mormon is the most powerful testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, so if one wants to know the truth and to strengthen their testimony one must read the Book of Mormon.
