Hi I'm Claudia

I am a Mormon. I am serving a mission with my husband. I love it!

About Me

I love snapping photos and pictures with my camera--all of the time. No photo goes un-clicked! I learned to love art and love to oil paint, watercolor, and sketch. I like to spend quiet time by myself or with loved ones in the outdoors. I love hymns and soothing instrumental music, with an occasional Goldie Oldie and the liveliness of a Classical March. I grew up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints--in a "Mormon" family and was baptized at the age of eight. I was loved and grew up knowing WHO I AM. I am a daughter of Heavenly Father. My parents also taught me to love my Savior, Jesus Christ. My favorite hymn is "I Am a Child of God". I have always loved being able to share my faith and the Gospel with others. I served a mission at age 21 and now at an older age, I am serving another mission with my best companion...my husband. I have a testimony that if we live the teachings of Christ, follow Him and keep Heavenly Father's commandments, we will one day be able to live with Him again. I am thankful for my family of 7 wonderful "grown-up" children and recently added one more to our family of 11 grandchildren...so we have 12 grandchildren! They are being taught in their homes about Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I love the Savior and love Him for His Sacrifice during the Atonement in behalf of ALL mankind. Now we can become clean through Him if we repent of our sins and we can return to our Father in Heaven if we remain worthy and endure to the end.

Why I am a Mormon

My Father in Heaven loves me. I KNOW this. Regular church attendance, scripture study, and prayer have helped me stay true to my faith in Jesus Christ. Living the Commandments given by a loving Heavenly Father has blessed me with good health, and blessings beyond my ability to even recognize all of them. I know He loves me. Even though I was baptized at age 8, my feelings about the truthfulness of the Gospel were strengthened when I read the Book of Mormon all by myself from beginning to end. My faith grows stronger every time I read it. No longer do I have just stories in my head of the ancient history of the Americas but also the teachings of the Lord to his children that will help us qualify to return to a loving Heavenly Father after our life on Earth.

How I live my faith

I enjoy being a Visiting Teacher. I visit my sisters in the church and share a Gospel message and let them know they are loved by me, and their Heavenly Father. As a Visiting Teacher, I serve my sisters and gain feelings of charity as I follow the example of Jesus Christ and share the Charity He taught all of us to have. I love it when my Visiting Teachers comes to my home. They have been very loving and helpful in times that I've needed a friend that day, or someone to help me accomplish something I couldn't get done myself. Right now I am serving a mission with my husband. I learn much from him while we study together and teach the Gospel topics to others who want to learn.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Claudia
My grandparents and parents taught me by example that sharing the Gospel with others during a mission is a great way to show Heavenly Father that I love Him and that I am thankful for all of the blessings He has given me. I have always wanted to share the Gospel of our Living Savior and let it bless other people's lives as it has blessed mine. So, even if no one is my family had served a mission, I would have served a mission anyway. Show more Show less
