Hi I'm Spencer

I was borned and raised in Utah, and I'm Mormom.

About Me

Growing up in a long-time Mormom family, the Church and culture of it are pretty deep-rooted in me. I enjoy many things outside of Church, such gaming, being outdoors, and learning. I plan on studing Communcations after my mission and going into marketing or advertising. I like all kinds of media from books to the internet, and having conversations from pop culture to philosophy.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was raise Mormon, I've gone through many times of inactivity and truely didn't start living as member until I was around 15. At 15 that's when I started to think and ponder about the bigger things in life, the standard "where do come from and why here" stuff. But even through they're common questions, the answers are not. For a while I thought and studied, I considered myself Mormon and conducted myself with those standards. I remembered those lessons, and I prayed, since then it's felt right and everything else fell into place.

How I live my faith

I try to attend church every sunday but sometimes it hard especially living with divorced parents and trying to balence in between. Nevetheless, I attend church most sundays, I was part of the Priest Quorum as the 2nd Assisting. I was also ward missionary for a short time before my mission.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Spencer
For me the Book of Mormon is a companion to the Holy Bible, telling similar stories and lessons of that book in a different setting. But I also see it as history and line of the where long lost doctrine and rites were recorded, therefore giving us a further understanding of the world and universe around us. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Spencer
Many Mormon lived just like anyone else, no compounds or gated communities, we go to work, school, watch TV, play video games. But for many of us much of what we do and why we do it is because of the Church and the doctrines of it. We don't drink, or smoke, and we often attend church activities such as Young Men's and Young Womens during the week. Show more Show less
