Hi I'm Cassidy Hadden

I grew up in California. I recently graduated from college. I love to try new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California, but I left as soon as I could to attend university at BYU-Idaho. I have since graduated in Accounting and have worked in the field of tax accounting. However this is just the surface of what defines me. The status of who I truly am resides in the statement, I am a daughter of God. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has shaped me in the way that I act, dress, behave, and speak today. I am not perfect and I still have a lot to learn about this gospel and about myself. I have been called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I am excited to see what this new chapter in my life will bring for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born in the church, both of my parents were raised in the church as well. However I chose to stay in the Church and believe its gospel and principles because I know with all my heart that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith, our first prophet of the latter-days, has restored the true church here on the earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and co-exists with the Bible. I know that our current prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, is a true prophet, seer, and revelator for not just the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but for the entire world. I know that this gospel is true and perfect, the people may not be, but the gospel always will be true and correct. I know that eternity lies ahead of me, I had a life before I was sent to this earth and I will have a life after I leave the earth. I know that God loves me on an individual level, just as he loves you as an individual. I know that because of God's love I have been blessed with a way to get back to my Father in Heaven. He sent His son to die for me so that I may be forgiven of my sins and return to His loving arms. I know that there is a plan set for me in my life and throughout the choices I make in this life I set the path before me. I know that God has something in store for me and I have the opportunity to accept His blessings through my own personal righteousness and obedience to Him.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday, during our three hour service I am taught about different aspects of my religion. I love this time that I have to learn more in depth about the gospel of Jesus Christ. The more that I learn about Jesus Christ and His example that he has set forth for me, the more I can become like Him. I love to look for opportunities to serve Him throughout the community and my home. I love participating in activities that the Church provides. I believe that this is a great way for us to get to know each other including getting to know our needs and weaknesses so that we may be able to support and lift one another up. Also many of the activities are fun, so it is a great opportunity to get out of the house and enjoy the company of others. I love the Lord and His gospel and it is up to me to learn of His word and come to an understanding of His teachings. I know that I can do this by consistent pray and scripture study and the desire for understanding. I know that through my faith and righteousness I will determine the path that my life will lead. This is why I believe that the principle of agency is so important, the Lord would love to have all of his children return back to Him, but He loves us so much that He could not do anything to force or inhibit our agency. I choose to love the Lord and I choose to follow Him throughout this life and the life to come.
