Hi I'm Chelsea

I live in a small town. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently studying to complete my Bachelors of Science in Geology. I thoroughly love the outdoors and observing nature not only for it's beauty but also to learn how it operates. I also love my pets: I have 4 cats and 1 dog. I really do love cats.... but I'm not a crazy cat lady. I promise!! My family is amazing and I'm always there to help them out when I can and visa versa. Some of the things I like to do for fun involve hiking, climbing, watching Doctor Who and Sherlock, Pinterest, playing the piano, reading, painting, learning about Geology, spending time with friends! :)

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I have chosen to be a member of this Church is because of the joy it brings to me. When I read my scriptures and serve others my life is extremely enjoyable.I still have day-to-day problems and my responsibilities can be hard; but I find happiness in the little things like the wind in the trees, opening the door for someone, giving a simple compliment. It is amazing to see how people change when you treat them as if they are important- because everyone is, but not everyone knows it. This Gospel of Jesus Christ has truly shown me that there is so much more beyond this life. I know that Christ taught in Jerusalem. I know that He died for us an rose on the third day. He lives today and He has restored His true church through the Prophet Joseph Smith in our day. I have no doubt of His love for me. It is personal and it was wonderful.

How I live my faith

My mother and I teach the 11-12 year olds in Sunday School. I've really enjoyed getting to know the kids and it's amazing how much they understand. This past year I decide to serve a mission. I have been assigned to serve in the Florida area. And I can honestly say I am very excited to be out serving the Lord! I begin my mission in October 2013 and will serve for a year and a half. My mission will consist of teaching people about Christ, bringing them the joy of the gospel, and serving the communities I will be in. I know I will not only bring happiness to those I meet while on my mission but I will also become happier myself!
