Hi I'm Cherie

I'm a very ordinary woman with an extraordinary love for my family and my faith. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah my whole life but do not participate in a single winter sport. I am married to a man who loves and encourages me. I am the mother of three girls and one boy. I enjoy working with and meeting new people and I try my best to help people be happy. I enjoy learning new things and working with computers. I like to create things such as digital scrapbooks, greeting cards and calendars, but don't have enough free time to do it as much as I would like. I love plants and flowers but hate weeds. I love to bake. I tend to have some kind of sweet treat on hand for family and friends at all times. I can't wait to be a grandma. I look forward to smothering my grandchildren with love and helping them know how special they are. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life and I am so grateful for that privilege. My favorite bible story is the story of Job. Hearing this story as a child helped me develop an unwavering faith in my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know they love me and know me by name.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know I can be with my family forever through my Heavenly Father's Plan of Salvation. I know I am not perfect, but that I can be perfected through Christ if I repent and strive to keep His commandments. I am so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and for His redeeming love. I know He set the perfect example for me. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I have read it several times and each time the Holy Ghost witnesses of it's truthfulness to my heart. I know there are living prophets on the earth today and I am grateful for the revelations they receive from Heavenly Father and the personal revelation I receive for myself and my family from the same loving Heavenly Father. I know Jesus Christ's teachings were taken from the earth for a time and that it was through Joseph Smith that His gospel was restored to the earth in this last dispensation. I know Joseph Smith saw God and His Son and that they called him by name. I love my family and my faith. I know I would be nothing without either. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for all He blesses me with and know I can never repay Him but I will strive to live as He would have me live so I can return to live with Him someday. The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings a joy to my life that I can't describe. I know it, I live it, I love it!!

How I live my faith

I currently work with the youth and marvel at how intelligent, talented and loving they are. They are strong and spiritual. They are natural leaders. They are our future. I appreciate that the members of our church start attending regular worship meetings as children and are encouraged to participate at a young age. They have opportunities to give talks, plan and conduct meetings, lead discussions, serve others and attend many enrichment activities. They gain confidence by doing not just observing what others do.
